Castella Music Presents "I’m in You" — A Soulful Reimagining of a Classic

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lakewood, CA — June 15, 2026 — The wait is finally over, and the time to share is right now! Castella Music proudly presents "I’m in You," a stunning cover of a timeless classic.

Existing beautifully somewhere between Soul, R&B, Gospel, Jazz, and Rock, Castella continues to defy genre boundaries. “This one is for my fans!” she says.

Never one to do anything predictable, Castella chose a track with a rich history. "I’m in You" was originally written and recorded by Peter Frampton as the title track to his 1977 album, ultimately becoming his highest-charting solo single on the Billboard Hot 100. Frampton, world-renowned for iconic songs like “Show Me the Way” and “Baby, I Love Your Way,” is famous for his legendary guitar skills and signature talk box effect, having collaborated with giants like Mick Jagger, Stevie Wonder, and Ringo Starr.

The idea for the cover came from Castella’s longtime producer, Darryl Swann. Noting that no one had ever officially covered the track, he threw down the gauntlet — and Castella was more than up for the challenge. After all, Swann was also the one who originally suggested she record her hit cover of "Nights Over Egypt."

To bring the vision to life, Castella enlisted her longtime Detroit-based producer Jeff Canady (who is currently on the road touring with Don Was). Canady took the track head-on, assembling a powerhouse lineup of musicians: himself on drums, Chris Codish on keys and organ, James Simonson on bass, Donald Lee Shough on guitar, and Brendon Davis handling strings and orchestration. Meanwhile, Swann recorded Castella’s powerhouse vocals and took dynamic control of the mixing and mastering. The formula remains unchanged: Castella, Canady, and Swann — a winning, collaborative team for years.

While the original "I’m in You" firmly holds a place in rock history, Castella infuses a deeply soulful edge into the track. She stays remarkably true to the foundation of the original while entirely making it her own, breathing vibrant new life into a beautiful song.

The single is slated for a July 5 release, a date that holds deep personal meaning as it is the birthday of Castella's late grandmother and namesake. Castella’s rich vocals and uniquely smooth styling debut a fresh new sound she calls “Rock n’ Soul” — something her dedicated fanbase will absolutely love. Ultimately, this record proves that you should never put a true artist in a box; Castella proves she can sing absolutely anything.
