Castella teams up with producers Jeff Canady and Darryl Swann to complete her anticipated project “Let Me Love You –the EP.” When Castella released the single “Let Me Love You,” she put into the Universe, that a “Let Me Love You EP” would soon follow. She is proud to accomplish that goal. Included on the EP are Castella’s smooth jazz and soul chart topping songs “Let Me Love You”and “So Glad I Met You” rounded out with two remakes of songs that Castella loves. The songs she chose gives her listeners a small look into the soundtrack of Castella’s life and her overall love for good music, no matter the genre! And the two remakes are just scratching the surface! Remakes are tricky! We hear those remakes that are done over and over and then there are those never done before. Castella did both. Showing us her love for straight ahead jazz with a smooth twist on the classic “My Funny Valentine” and her equal love for 70’s classic rock bands with the remake of “So Into You” by the Atlanta Rhythm Section. These two tunes show Castella’s soulful side while delivering the power, smoothness and one of a kind sound Castella has become known for. She made these songs her own!
“So Into You” is the third release from “Let Me Love You –the EP” and is sure to turn the heads. Castella takes you on a smooth, sexy ride with this provocative song, placing you right in the room with someone who isn’t paying attention. Certainly, after hearing Castella’s rendition of this tune, you can’t help but be into her.

To add a little flavor to the tune, Castella is joined by #1 Billboard charting Trumpeter Willie Bradley! Producer Jeff Canady always brings the pop on his tracks and he delivered once again! Vocal producer and Mixing Engineer Darryl Swann provided the guidance needed in studio for Castella to deliver another stellar performance. Lending her voice to both lead and background vocals, this tune showcases Castella’s versatility and God given talent! Mastering Engineer, Steve Hall polished up the efforts of the team to present another outstanding record to her body of work!

Just in time for the holidays, Castella releases a jazzy
of the holiday classic, Sleigh Ride! Castella teamed up with her producer Jeff Canady again for this upbeat track which is sure to make you want to dance and snap your fingers!! Producer Jeff Canady from Detroit, MI, assembled an amazing band consisting of Jeff Canady on Drums, Kris Kurzawa on Guitar, Darrell Smith on Electric Upright Bass, Maurice O’Neill on Strings and Lashaun Gary on Keys. We are hoping Castella’s rendition of Sleigh Ride will be a new Christmas Classic!

THINKING ABOUT YOU - (EP - 2019)
Thinking About You is Castella’s debut EP. A collection of R&B Soul, love songs, Castella blends her soulful style with her gospel roots to bring you this album. Castella (Cathy Thompson) is the featured lyricist on the album writing both lyrics and melodies to five songs and collaborating with her producers on the song, hit Mojito. Castella was assisted by very talented music producer, Corey Stampley on the entire project. Darryl Swann, a Grammy Award winning producer worked with Castella in studio serving as her vocal producer, engineer and mixer. Castella’s bandmates from Gabriel and Some Other Angels, Dr. Gabriel Crenshaw and Charlotte A. Pope, helped out with background vocals on the upbeat tunes You’ll Come Back to Me and Mojito, respectfully.
